About The CRC Toolkit

Welcome to The CRC Toolkit, the essential digital companion for Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs), site managers, and research professionals.

In the fast-paced world of clinical trials, accuracy and efficiency are not just goals—they are patient safety requirements. We recognized a gap in the industry: while there are many complex, expensive software systems for sponsors and CROs, there were very few free, accessible, and practical tools designed specifically for the "boots on the ground"—the site staff who make research happen every day.

Built by Experience, Backed by Expertise

This toolkit was created and is maintained by senior clinical research professionals with a deep understanding of the site-level perspective. Our background ensures that every tool and article here is grounded in real-world application.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower research sites by reducing administrative burden. By automating complex calculations (like IP compliance and visit windows) and providing clear, high-authority career guidance, we aim to free up CRCs to focus on what matters most: Patient Care and Data Integrity.

Privacy & Transparency

We design our tools with privacy as a priority. All calculations are performed locally in your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit any patient data, PHI, or personally identifiable information entered into our calculators.

Meet the Founder

The CRC Toolkit was founded by a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) with an MBA in Healthcare Administration and over a decade of direct experience managing clinical trial sites. The site grew out of a simple frustration: there were no free, practical, professional-grade tools designed specifically for the coordinators and site staff who do the daily work of running trials.

Over the years, working across Phase I through Phase IV studies at both academic medical centers and private research sites, the gaps became obvious. CRCs were calculating visit windows by hand, building compliance trackers in personal spreadsheets, and getting their career advice from outdated forum posts. The CRC Toolkit is the resource that should have existed all along.

Our Values

Accuracy first. Clinical research is a field where errors have real consequences. Everything published here is reviewed for technical accuracy against current regulatory standards, including ICH GCP E6(R3) and FDA guidance documents.

Practical over theoretical. Our tools are built by people who have actually used them under the pressure of a real trial. Theory is useful; tested, practical knowledge is what CRCs actually need at 4 PM on a Friday when a query is due.

Independent and unbiased. The CRC Toolkit is an independent educational resource. We are not affiliated with any CRO, sponsor, or vendor. Our content is not influenced by commercial relationships, and we do not accept payment to promote specific products or companies in our editorial content.
